A gem of Iranian architecture

Shah Abbasi Mosque is one of the most beautiful and magnificent historical buildings in Iran and the world, which is located in the heart of Naqshjahan Square in Isfahan. This mosque, which is also known as Jame Abbasi Mosque and Sultani Mosque, was built in the Safavid era in 1500 by the order of Shah Abbas I and is a symbol of the splendor of Islamic architecture in Iran.

The dome of the Shah Abbasi Mosque with a height of 52 meters is one of the largest domes of mosques in Iran. Seven-color and turquoise tiles with geometric and slim designs have given the mosque a special beauty.

The altar of the mosque is made of a single piece of white marble and is decorated with delicate tiles. There are four large porches around the courtyard of the mosque, which are decorated with tiles and beautiful plasterwork. The courtyard of the mosque with a large pond and green gardens provides a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere for worshipers.

Naqsh Jahan Square, together with the Shah Abbasi Mosque, has been registered as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Shah Abbasi Mosque is a masterpiece of Islamic architecture, which is a must-see for any tourist who travels to Iran. This mosque is one of the main tourist attractions of Isfahan with its magnificent architecture, beautiful tiling and unique location.
